Hello and Happy New Year, Homo sapiens! Every year since I have created my blog, my New Years Resolution, well one of them, has always been to Blog more. Blog more. Every year. Midnight strikes and I start thinking about what I should start posting on my Blog, and I'm always at a complete loss. It's not because I don't enjoy writing; being an English major for the past half a decade has only been bearable because of all the reading and writing I'm able to do, which are the two things I enjoy doing the most. However, time management skills are sub-par, and ideas for blog posts are minimal at best. I really want to continue with this blog, even if it's pretty dead here and nobody except myself read its contents (shout out in the comments if you low-key read my stuff!).
The thing is, I just don't think I have anything you all would be interested in reading, quite frankly. I live a pretty boring and sentient life. I go to school, read the required readings, participate in required forum posts, write my essays, and the odd day I'll hop on my Xbox or Playstation and cozy down with a nice game of Call of Duty, or if I'm feeling adventurous, Skyrim. There's not much going on for me in life since I'm one hundred percent devoted to being an introvert and nerd.
I thought about reviewing books that I am required to read for my classes, but I realized pretty early on that if I'm not particularly keen on reading these books, what are the chances that all my loyal readers would enjoy reading reviews about them? The fact of the matter is, I just don't see how this blog is going to continue, if I don't feel like I have interesting enough things to say, or have anything interesting to review. Perhaps when my time is not so consumed by schoolwork - but then again, I have made this claim numerous times in the past. I say I will start Blogging consistently during the summer when I'm off from school. Except that I generally tend to take courses during the summer as well, and when I'm not, I tend to lean towards playing video games.
I was thinking about starting a Harry Potter themed Blog, where I strictly discuss things relating to the Harry Potter universe since I am obsessed with this world. But, again, I'm a little worried that I won't be consistent, or have enough ideas to blog about daily, or even weekly.
I want this blog of mine to work out so badly. I wish I had an abundance of things to discuss and review. As of this moment, I'm not sure if this blog will continue, or if it has run its course.
